Art students exploring Africa

4th and 5th grade students used Google Earth and the website Our Africa to explore art, landforms, and life in Africa to be inspired with their Ugly Doll or Sockpuppet creations. Student's Ugly Doll or Sock Puppet will then be donated to the Austin Children's Shelter or Helping Hand Home for Children.

Students were in awe of the culture in Africa.

Rubik's Cub Celebrates 40 Anniversary

One of Ms. Solis's 5th Grade classes was celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Rubik's Cube by learning how to solve a Rubik's Cube not only through the Rubik's Cube Lending Library but by using The interactive Rubik's Cube on the May 19th Google Doodle. Students took turns using the Promethean Pen to rotate the interactive puzzle game by clicking in the area around it. Then click and drag inside the cube to place the tiles.
